San Carlos Sonora has two marinas for the boat enthusiasts. This town is built around it boating community. Marina Real
Marina Real is located on Sonora Bay, on the shore of Catch 22 Beach, between Cerro Tetakawi, the symbol of San Carlos and outlying areas, and Punta San Antonio. This location is well protected and considered a safe marina for anchoring during the hurricane season. A walkway goes past the marina for a pleasant stroll along a row of beautiful homes, some owned by Mexican movie stars and playboys. The beach here is a popular place for jet skiing and wind surfing. Beautiful yachts and sailboats create a pretty view. Marina Real offers 356 full service slips for boat and yachts up to 80 feet. Services include fuel, fresh water, and electricity for each slip, fire safety devices, waste handling, and 24 hour security. Dry storage, haul out service, and a launch ramp are also available.

The San Carlos Marina is the largest natural port in Mexico located on the Sea of Cortez. The San Carlos Marina owned by Grupo Situr offers over 400 slips with 200 plus in development. The marina offers complete services for yachts to 60 feet, including a gas & diesel fuel dock, 10 ton crane service, launch ramp, launch and recovery service, 24 hour dock security, bathrooms, shower facilities and parking. Attached to the marina is the Hotel Marina Terra which offers villas and condo rentals for the boat enthusiasts who do not wish to live aboard when in port. They even developed a world class golf course located behind the marina developed by Pete Roy Dye. The marina, hotel and golf course offers memberships to the public.
